To Our VBS Volunteers...A Few Reminders!
Thank you to ALL the volunteers who have signed up to help with Scuba VBS. We couldn’t do this without you!
IMPORTANT…the VBS program runs 8:30AM to Noon, June 24-28; but we ask for volunteers to arrive by 8:00AM each day. Coffee & treats will be available every morning.
- VBS Staff Training...Our in-person training sessions have been completed. If you were unable to attend one of these sessions, you will be receiving an email from Kayleigh Lopez regarding completing the online training. The online training option is for ALL roles.
- VBS Workday & Set-Up...mark your calendars for Saturday, June 22 from 9:00AM to Noon to help decorate and set up for our VBS week! More hands make for lighter work. We could really use your help.
- VBS Volunteer Staff Commissioning/Installation...is on Sunday, June 23 at each of the morning worship services on Bethany's campus. this will happen at the beginning of worship. Volunteers will be invited forward to whichever service they plan to attend.
- Questions about VOLUNTEERING…contact Kayleigh Lopez at or call (309) 397-6583. So that we can get everyone trained in time for VBS...the last day to volunteer will be Friday, June 14th by midnight!

Would you like to help our VBS by making an offering
If you would like to still make a donation to either our Mission Offering or Materials Offering...
- A Material Offering will be used to offset the cost of running VBS which is in the ballpark of $5000.
- Our Mission Offering recipient for this year is WATER PROJECTS-AFRICA. In some parts of Africa, tremendous underground water reservoirs have been discovered, however the funds to survey and complete a deep well can be just out of financial reach for many in Africa, particularly rural areas. Likewise, in many regions, unsuitable water sources can lead to cholera, typhoid fever, and other water-borne diseases. The Water Project offers opportunities to supplement local contributions to provide for physical needs while opening doors through local churches to share God's love with communities in need of Christ's Living Water.
- These are voluntary offerings, of course, and any amount is appreciated.
